I live in Canada, and we are inundated with american media night and day.

It is so sadly weird to watch a movie on most of the u.s. network television. I turn the vast majority off now, because the movie becomes unwatchable.

Someone says "d-a-*-n" or "s-h-*-t, or the "f" word at say 10:30 pm, and the word is either muted out, or an entire phrase dubbed in. But no problem showing people getting ripped to pieces with machine guns or explosives in the same movie at 8:00 pm. And don't get me started about nudity. The americans are positively terrified of nudity and sex.

They are an scary weird bunch.
